Nedform Academy Offering Metal Forming Seminar in U.S.
Nedform Academy will present a training seminar on “Metal Forming Technology: From Theory to Practice” in North America, sales manager Craig Smoltz announced.
The seminar on tooling and process development will be October 13-15, 2015, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Novi, MI.
The same course has been offered at Nedschroef Machinery’s headquarters in Belgium.
The agenda includes machining vs. cold forming; force, energy & mechanisms; progression development / tool materials; pre-stressing of forming dies; machine kinematics; tool design; tool examples for the production of complex parts; and tips & tricks.
Trainers are: Ferdinand Kersten, director of Nedform Academy; Dr. Ir. Rene M. Hop, technologist product development and application engineering at Nedschroef Techno Centre; Dr. Ir. Emmy Ohlund, manager Technocentre specialist materials; and Erhard Justus, director / owner, Justus Coldforging Consulting.
The seminar includes a handbook and one-year of online access to the OptiDie calculation program developed by Nedschroef Herentals for one year.
