NFDA Awards 1st Wilson Scholarship

The National Fastener Distributors Association awarded its first Brad Wilson Memorial Scholarship to Nicole Owens of Tifco Industries.
The scholarship honors the late president of Mid-State Bolt & Nut and 1984-85 NFDA president.
“This scholarship is a tribute to Brad Wilson for his commitment to the fastener industry, as well as his contributions to NFDA,” commented John Hausoul, NFDA executive vice president. “Furthermore, the scholarship highlights our industry”s commitment to the next generation.”
The association also announced $26,000 in scholarships to 21 students through its NFDA Memorial Scholarship and Gilchrist Scholarship programs. The NFDA Memorial Scholarship Program is funded entirely through NFDA member donations and money raised through various events.

Huyett; Chantalle Brown, LEP Special Fasteners; Brett Campbell, Tinnerman; Brianna Doboszenski, W�rth Adams Nut & Bolt; Brianna Harriger, Advance Components Inc.; Elizabeth Hurley, Kimball Midwest; Kyle Knapp, Tinnerman; Kean Nelson, W�rth Service Supply; Lori Norman, Falcon Metal Corporation; Nicole Owens, Tifco Industries; and Vanessa Zavala, Heads & Threads International. Employee recipients are: Ryan Burke, NSK Industries Inc.; Teresa Chumbley, Trinity Logistics Corp.; Jennifer Daniels, MNP Corporation; Greg Facemire, NSK Industries Inc.; and Steve Klecka, Heads & Threads International
The Gilchrist Foundation Scholarship was established by Robbie and Gina Gilchrist in 2000 to support high school seniors and continuing students in pursuit of fastener careers.
