A panel on manufacturer / distributor relations, preparing for the health care law; hiring and an economic forecast at the topics at the National Fastener Distributors Association annual meeting in Chicago.
The NFDA sessions will be June 12-13, 2013, at the Intercontinental O’Hare in Rosemont, IL.
• The relationship between manufacturers and distributors will be the topic for panelists Russ Doran, Timberline Fasteners; Gary Huck, Würth Industry Group; Dave Monti, Fall River Manufacturing; and Tammy Work, A Raymond Tinnerman.
• “Who: The A Method for Hiring” is the title of author Geoff Smart’s presentation on a four-step method for hiring the right people with a 90% success rate.
• Lobbyist Kevin Kuhlman, manager of legislative affairs at the National Federation of Independent Business, will discuss how companies should prepare for the health care law.
• Jeffrey Dietrich, senior analyst for the Institute for Trend Research, will give an economic outlook.
The NFDA also will have Executive Sales Planning Summit during the week.
The NFDA on Wednesday/ Thursday follows the Tuesday / Wednesday Fastener Tech trade show.
