NFDA Plans New One-on-One Format

The National Fastener Distributors Association will introduce a new form of one-on-one supplier/distributor meetings at its fall conference in Denver.\
The NFDA has reserved a block of 50 hotel suites where suppliers can meet with customers in private sessions. There will be 10 scheduled sessions for 25 minutes each.
The fall meeting will be October 25-28, 2001, at the Adams Mark Hotel.
The one-on-one will be different from a traditional trade show where the exhibitor may see more total prospective customers. The new format allows the supplier to spend more time with each customer and talk behind closed doors instead of along convention center aisles.
The NFDA has had one-on-one sessions in the past, but in a format with small tables in one banquet hall.
NFDA executive vice president Dave Merrifield said both suppliers and customers will be encouraged to come with prepared agendas to do business.
The NFDA also will introduce a Train-the-Trainer series of educational programs. Details will be announced at the NFDA spring meeting, April 25-29, 2001, in Naples, FL.
