NFDA Spring Meeting Topics: Exporting, Employer Health Care Changes

Healthcare, the economy, warehousing/logistics, lean practices for distributors, employee retention and technology are topics for the 2011 annual spring meeting of the National Fastener Distributors Association.
The conference will be April 6-8, 2011, at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
• Sarah Cook, international trade specialist for the U.S. Commercial Service, will speak on “Exporting Opportunities.”
• Economist Brian Beaulieu will speak on “The Future is Your Decision.”
• Ken Wexler of the benefits department of Lockton and Mark Holloway, Lockton co-director of compliance services, will speak on “Health Care Reform: Changes Aplenty for Employee Health Plans.”
• There will be Roundtable Discussions on warehouseing/logistics, lean for distributors, employee retention and technology.

During Fastener Fair Stuttgart, Feruary 22-24, 2011, the NFDA eill contact a conference on “Doing Business in Europe,” hold sales meetings with European OEMs and host a trade mission dinner.
