NIFMSE Adds Programs to Encourage Attendees

The National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo announced two new programs to encourage distributor attendance at the October 25-27, 2016, trade show in Las Vegas.

• “BYOD” or “Bring Your Own Distributor” allows exhibitors to nominate distributors they want to see at show but they have not previously attended.  Exhibitors can nominate unlimited distributorships for free admission plus two-nights at the Venetian Hotel.

• NIFMSE is working with Feathr, a B2B trade marketing platform, for exhibitors to have their own landing pages and offer their customers half off registration to attend.  The program is designed specifically for exhibitors to invite customers to visit their booth.

Emerald Expositions LLC – which acquired NIFMSE after the 2015 event – earlier announced a “Rising Star” program for distributors registered to attend to nominate a colleague employed within the same company or within the fastener industry to accompany them. The “Rising Star” receives free hotel and trade show registration.

Emerald also has a program with Young Fastener Professionals offering a free trip and admission for 10 individuals who have never been to the trade show.

In an interview with FIN last winter, Emerald executive vice president Karolyn Sprouse said the trade show organizer would be asking exhibitors: “Who aren’t you seeing at the show?” Emerald has “a team to go out and get them,” Sprouse told FIN.

The 2016 NIFMSE booth sales have already broken the record number of booths for the third year in a row. The number of booths reserved for 2016 have already topped the 829 record set last year. By late July NIFMSE reported 711 companies booking 933 booths for 2016.

Previous NIFMSE booth records were set in 2007 at 821 and and 822 in 2014.
