NIFMSE Seeks to Expand Attendee, Exhibitor Base
For 2016 the National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo is seeking to expand with STAFDA-type exhibitors: Adhesives, specialty tools, plant maintenance and safety products. To expand the customer base, engineers and specifiers will be welcomed beyond the trade show’s traditional distributor attendees.

The 36th annual National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo was already changing to a Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday format on October 25-27, 2016, at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
In addition to the change from W-Th-F format, the trade show is moving from Hall A to Halls C&D for more space.
The 2017 trade show will move to the Las Vegas Convention Center for the October 17-19, 2017, events.
Show director Susan Hurley said NIFSME is “aggressively marketing to the adhesives and specialty tools industries, including drills, hand tools, power tools, and plant maintenance and safety products, all of which are gaining in popularity with today’s modern distributor.”
Karalynn Sprouse, executive vice president for Emerald Expositions, said exhibitors and attendees would see minimal changes for 2016. “This early in the show cycle, our focus is renewing our 2015 exhibitors and then going after new opportunities,” Sprouse said. “We have already locked in nine new companies for the show.”
The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association’s 40th annual convention will be November 6-8, 2016 in Atlanta. Web: STAFDA.org
Beyond exhibitors, Sprouse said Emerald is “looking at the buyer universe and strategizing on getting more buyers to the show by extending invitations to engineers, specifiers, and other recommenders from manufactures looking for better solutions.”
The previous owners touted a “distributors only” policy.
