The 12th annual National Industrial Fastener Show/West is approaching its own booth record, show management announced.

Thus far there are 819 booths, compared with the 829 record set last year – the first year at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The previous record was 653 booths at the 1996 NIFS show in Columbus, OH.

The trade show will be Monday and Tuesday, November 3-4, 2008, at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Conferences and an opening reception will be on Sunday.

Currently about 2,200 people have registered to attend the 2008 event. Show management’s final attendee registration figure for 2007 was 2,820.
