NORMA Group Acquires Nordic Metalblok
NORMA Group acquired Italian clamp manufacturer Nordic Metalblok on July 12, 2012, for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Riese Pio X near Treviso in Northern Italy, Nordic Metalblok manufactures clamps for various applications particularly for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry and the agricultural and construction sectors. In addition, the company produces metal bands and related tools. Nordic Metalblok distributes its products to retailers and wholesalers as well as to manufacturing companies. The company generated overall sales of about EUR 6 million in fiscal year 2011.
Nordic will be consolidated as part of NORMA Group, which has been present in Italy since 2006 and operates a distribution center in Gavardo.
“We are further expanding our global footprint through the acquisition of Nordic Metalblok,” stated NORMA CEO Werner Deggim. “The expertise of Nordic Metalblok particularly in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology and NORMA Group’s product portfolio complement each other perfectly.”
Headquartered in Maintal, Germany, NORMA Group is an international engineered joining technology company formed in 2006 in a merger between the German Rasmussen Group and the Swedish ABA Group. NORMA offers 35,000 products to approximately 10,000 customers in 90 countries. NORMA Group joining products can be found in vehicles, ships, trains, aircraft, domestic appliances, engines and plumbing systems as well as in applications for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
