Norma Group Reaches Agreement on Temporary Workers

NORMA Germany GmbH signed an agreement providing for “adequate employment and remuneration of temporary agency staff.”
A subsidiary of NORMA Group AG, the German group uses temporary employment as a tool for production peaks and economic volatility, special projects or to replace regular employees on leave.
The agreement’s equal pay principle will be implemented in stages. After six months temporary staff will be paid the same salary as permanent employees. After over 15 months with Norma, temporary staff will be moved to permanent contracts.
Norma Group AG reported third quarter 2012 sales increased by 5.8% between January and September 2012 to EUR 467.3 million (US$604m). The previous year sales totaled EUR 441.7 million.
