NORMA Group To Acquire Australian Distributorship
NORMA Group agreed to to acquire the distribution business of Davydick & Co. Pty Limited in Australia. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Davydick, based in Goulburn, approximately 150 km southwest of Sydney, distributes products for irrigation systems, including fittings, valves, and pumps to the agricultural, hardware and plumbing markets. Davydick maintains branches in Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane, and generates about EUR 4 million in annual sales.
“We are pleased to grow our existing distribution network in Australia with the acquisition of Davydick,” stated NORMA Group CEO Werner Deggim. “The service range of Davydick ideally complements our recent acquisition of Chien Jin Plastic, a Malaysian manufacturer of pipe compression fittings and components for the irrigation, agriculture and water distribution markets.”
Headquartered in Maintal, Germany, NORMA Group is an international engineered joining technology company formed in 2006 in a merger between the German Rasmussen Group and the Swedish ABA Group.
NORMA Group offers 35,000 products to approximately 10,000 customers in 90 countries. The company’s joining products can be found in vehicles, ships, trains, aircraft, domestic appliances, engines and plumbing systems as well as in applications for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
