Number of Wire Exhibitors Increase at 2010 Düsseldorf Show – Overall Space Down;
Fastener Manufacturing Exhibitors Total 147 Companies

The total number of wire-related exhibiting companies rose 8% to 1,223 at Wire 2010, but total space was down 3% from the 2008 biennial show.

The five-day show opened April 12 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The International Fastener Machinery & Suppliers Association is meeting in conjunction with the show.

There are 147 fastener manufacturing-related exhibitors.

Fastener+Fixing Magazine editor Phil Matten reported exhibitors “are generally optimistic for a good show, but conscious that most fastener producers still have plenty of idle capacity to absorb before new capital investment becomes a reality.”

“Fastener manufacturing technology exhibits are concentrated in a single hall, a change welcomed by exhibitors unimpressed in 2008 to find exhibits split between two halls,” Matten found.

Nedschroef, National Machinery and Sacma Group took the dominant exhibit spaces.
The National stand features a LeanFX 10M5 five die machine built at the group’s facility in Suzhou, China. Sharing the stand are affiliates, CTG Ransohoff cleaning technology and inspection specialists Mectron Engineering.

Italy’s Sacma Group features customer hospitality and meetings, with a team to discuss the group’s heading technology and its Ingramatic thread rolling equipment.

Japan’s Nakashimada Engineering stand features a 6 die 6 blow MST 606 part former.

Other heading technology on display comes from Italy, Germany, Korea, China and Taiwan.
