NYF Corp. is collaborating with Redpoint Controls LLC to study the feasibility of a supplier-managed inventory control system using intelligent storage containers. The project is funded by a $100,000 grant from a National Science Foundation small business research program.
“With the goal of elevating remote inventory to a fully-automated level, Redpoint Controls and NYF have the opportunity to introduce a highly-efficient, electronically-based method to enhance the level of customer service and success throughout the entire manufacturing industry,” NYF president Roger Crosby said.
Crosby also announced NYF is implementing a point-of-use inventory replenishment system for all hardware parts used by International Fuel Cells of South Windsor, CT.
