John Wolz
“Bud” Porteous, who founded Porteous Fastener Company in 1966, died September 8, 2005, at the age of 86.\
Born May 11, 1919, in Columbus, OH, he was raised in Flint, MI. He moved to California in 1945 and started in the fastener business working for Russell Bolt.
Survivors include sons Barry Porteous and Bob Porteous, both active in the company; and two daughters, Susan and Carol. His wife Anne died in 2000.
