Obituary: Minnette Osser

Minnette Osser, 78, died September 9, 2009, in San Diego from Alzheimer’s.

Osser had worked in Los Angeles for Disco Industrial in the 1960s before moving to San Diego as the purchasing manager for Western Fastener for 12 years. She continued her fastener career with Hayes Bolt & Supply, and later worked for Joanne Chase at Southland Components.

“Minnette was one of the early female pioneers in the fastener industry who paved the way for many women to enjoy success in a previously male dominated industry,” noted Hayes Bolt president Suzanne Dukes.

In lieu of flowers, Osser’s family requests donations to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or a local animal shelter. ©2009 GlobalFastenerNews.com
