John Wolz
Paul C. Tyson, 70, founder, president and CEO of Tyson Bolt & Supply in Tampa, FL, died February 27, 2006.\ Tyson started in the fastener industry with Southeastern Bolt & Screw in 1961 and later worked for Southern Screw & Supply in Birmingham. Two years later he bought Tampa Bolt & Screw with Fletcher Yielding and they changed the name to House of Threads. He was one of the founding members of the National Fastener Distributors Association and was inducted into the NIFS Hall of Fame in 1986.
In 1985 he sold his interest in House of Threads to the Yielding family and spent four years working with struggling businesses before starting Tyson Bolt & Supply in 1989.
Survivors include his wife Judy; five daughters; one son; and 10 grandchildren. Son-in-law Brian Crouch is general manager of Tyson Bolt.
