Paula Rae Sens, vice president of Advance Components, died August 3, 2004, of cancer at age 56 at her home in Plano, TX.
She started with Advance Components 32 years ago.
“She started out as a girl Friday” handling duties from secretary to sales, Terri House of Advance Components noted. “When she hired on with the owner, Doug Berry, it was just him and her, so she also shipped product. She did everything at first.”
As the company grew, so did Sens. “She led a $10 million company for many years with grace and business acumen,” Mary Chambers of Assembly Products observed.
In 1990 she was president of the Southwestern Fastener Association.
Survivors include her son, Phillip Sens; mother, Helen Shelton; one sister; and two brothers.
