OBITUARY: Ruth Young

Ruth Young, 80, who owned and operated Tidewater Industrial Fasteners in Norfolk, VA, from 1963 to 1989, died June 9, 2012. She was proud to be the first woman board member of the National Fasteners Distributors Association.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Gene Young; children, Terence Konrad, Melony Cheshire, Barton Walz and Kathleen Vaughan; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
