Ohio Industrial Supply has become JAM Industrial Supply, the Press-News reports.

“Change is inevitable in the business world and we’ve continued to adapt to the changing needs of the industrial community,” according to J.P. Majors, whose company began as Ohio Fasteners.

JAM stands for Jim and Ann Majors, who became sole owners after recently buying out the final partner.

“The company began in the 1950s and now boasts two locations (13,000 sq. ft. facility in Canton, and a 6,000 sq. ft. facility in Sandusky) and a new 6,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Brewster, where J.P. also operates a farm when he’s not counting fasteners for his customers,” according to the Press-News.

“I began in the fastener industry counting and packaging fasteners in 1986, and I guess I’m still doing it today since fasteners are such a big part of our company,” said Majors.

JAM Industrial Supply, which stocks a large volume of fasteners and abrasives, is a 3M Premier distributor whose staff receives ongoing technical training at the 3M training center in Minneapolis, MN.

JAM Industrial Supply’s Sandusky location is run by Rick Roll at 715 W. Washington St., Sandusky, OH.

While continuing to upgrade the main facility at 1220 Market Ave. South in Canton, Majors says plans for the future for JAM Industrial Supply include a new 50,000 sq ft facility to service area manufacturing companies. Web: ohiosupply.com
