Compliance, cybersecurity, managing your thinking under pressure, and an economic forecast are scheduled at the April 18-21, 2018, Pacific-West Fastener Association spring conference in Scottsdale, AZ.

The program includes:

• Consultant / engineer Carmen Vertullo of the Carver Fact Center of San Diego will speak on compliance requirements for Proposition 65, the California Safe Drinking Water & Toxic Enforcement Act. Related fastener issues include Conflict minerals, DFARS, RoHS II, Reach, WEEE, ELV, IMDS and country of origin labeling.

• Mike Green will speak on “Cybersecurity & Your Business.” Topics include the case of a Pac-West member whose customer data was deleted by a hijacker.

• Bobi Seredich of the Southwest Institute for Emotional Intelligence will speak on managing your thinking under pressure to make it a competitive advantage.

• Christopher Thornberg, Beacon Economics partner and director of the UC Riverside School of Business Center for Economic Forecasting, will speak on “What’s In Store for the U.S. Economy?”

• There will be business owners and business executive roundtables.
