Perroud, Nickoletopoulos Head WAI for 2011
Dominique Perroud of Samp Shanghai is the 2011 president of Wire Association International and Nicholas Nickoletopoulos of Sivaco Wire Group/Ifastegroupe in Canada.
Perroud has been in the wire and cable industry for more than 30 years, starting with Brown Boveri in Baden, Switzerland as a project engineer for the company then known as a project engineer.
Since 1981 Perroud has held engineering and product management positions for Nokia-Maillefer in Switzerland and the U.S. He joined Samp USA in 1999 and in 2010 was promoted to CEO of Samp Shanghai.
Perroud succeeds 2010 WAI president Dane Armendariz of Henkel Corp.
Nickoletopoulos has been with Ivaco for 15 years and is currently general manager of Sivaco/Ifastegroupe and director of marketing, quality and technical services at Ivaco Rolling Mills.
Executive committee members also include second vice president Richard Miller, Southwire Co.; and members Thomas Maxwell Jr., Die Quip Corp. and Gary Spence, Encore Wire Corp.; and Armendariz. Steven Fetteroll is executive director.
Founded in 1930, WAI has about 2,500 members and chapters in India, Italy, Mid-South, Midwest, Ohio Valley, Poland, Southeast, Western and New England.
