Pivot Point Inc. broke ground on a 30,000 sq ft expansion of manufacturing space at its Wisconsin facility.
The addition will be steel frame and beam building allowing clear-span of the interior space to optimize work and traffic flow for manufacturing. When finished Pivot Point will have 100,000 sq ft of production space.
Pivot Point manufactures non-threaded fasteners, including Clevis pins, Cotter pins, quick release pins, locking pins and wire-rope lanyards. Proprietary products include the SLIC Pin, a pin and cotter all in one.
Owner Sol Leitzke said Pivot Point has “invested heavily in equipment, especially automation, so that we can have the best value proposition in quality, pricing and lead times. This has resulted in steady growth, and we’re practically bursting at the seams. This factory expansion will allow us to continue to add equipment and continue to grow without constraint.”
Founded in 1929 by Rein Leitzke as Leitzke Specialities, the company first manufactured various fasteners, pins and washers for the agricultural and machine building industries. In 1982 grandson Rue Leitzke purchased Pivot Point and expanded from an agriculture focus to fasteners for transportation, material handling, military, aerospace, medical and consumer products. Pivot Point is located at 761 Industrial Lane, Hustisford, WI 53034. Tel: 800 222-2231 Web: PivotPins.com
