Questron 3rd Quarter Numbers Drop
Questron Technology Inc. reported third quarter 2001 sales dropped 34% from the same period of 2000 to $27,721,531. EBITDA plummeted 95% from $6,492,626 to $356,812.
The third quarter results dragged down Questron numbers for the first nine months of 2001. While third quarter sales were down 34%, sales for the nine months ending September 30, 2001 were down only 13.4%. Nine-month sales totaled $103,538,011.
Nine-month profits fell 49% to $9,282,063.
CEO Dominic Polimeni said Questron is taking steps to reduce the impact of the economic slowdown. “The company has and is continuing to address staffing levels, has centralized its purchasing operations, has eliminated discretionary spending and will consolidate facilities where possible. These actions are difficult, but are necessary in this difficult and challenging environment.”
