Ramco Specialties, Inc. acquired precision machining company Copa Tool, Inc., which manufactures high volume precision components for automotive powertrain markets.
Ramco said Greater Detroit-based Copa’s expertise in precision manufactured assembled components will expand Ramco’s domestic manufacturing capabilities.
“Copa’s manufacturing capabilities coupled with Ramco’s global engineering expertise was the key synergy with this acquisition,” stated Ramco sales & marketing director Jeff Melick. “Our product development engineers are very excited to be able to offer domestically manufactured engineered assemblies and components quickly to our Tier 1 automotive customers.”
Founded in 1978 by Tim Turman, Copa Tool is a Tier 1 automotive supplier to the North American automotive market.
