RBJ Fasteners to Purchase DDI Operations in Oregon

Tigard, OR-based RBJ Fasteners LLC signed an agreement to purchase the Oregon operations of bankrupt Distribution Dynamics Inc. for $850,000, court records indicate. RBJ is owned by Ron Tiedemann, former owner of the DDI operations in Oregon, previously known as Beaver Bolt Inc.
According to court documents, RBJ won out over two other unidentified companies that had expressed interest in DDI”s Oregon operations, located at 14965 SW 72nd Ave., Portland, OR 97224.
DDI has signed a $25 million purchase agreement with Anixter International for the main portion of the company. That deal is subject to a court-officiated auction that will take place on June 18.
DDI distributes fasteners and hardware to OEMs. The company has 227 employees and 20 locations in North America, with fiscal 2003 sales of $76 million. Web: distributiondynamics.com �2004 FastenerNews.com
