Rechitsa Hardware Begins Screw Production

The Rechitsa Hardware Plant launched production of self-tapping screws with the first 200 tons being shipped to Russia, general director Adam Vashkov announced. The expansion into self-tapping screws is part of a $7.3 billion plant investment.
The Republic of Belarus company is a division of Belarusian Metallurgical. Rechitsa is best known for nails, but also manufactures bolts, screws, nuts, rivets, wood screws and wire. Currently 85% of production is exported to Europe. The Eastern European country is located between Russia and Poland.
Since 1999, Rechitsa export sales have grown from $3 million to $30 million.
