NEW BRIEFS
As Taiwan’s China Steel Corp. prepares to announce the domestic wire coil price for the first two months of 2011, analysts expect no change — unless it’s a reduction, Fastener World reports.
Cold/hot rolled, hot dip galvanized steel coil and galvanized steel coil prices should be flat or even lower than 2010 prices “under the concern of international market status and the industrial competitiveness from downstream,” according to Fastener World.
Steel plate, wire rod, and magnetic steel prices are expected to remain unchanged, while China Steel may cut the price of hot rolled steel products by NT$1,000-1,500/ton.
“After price reduction, the price each ton will be near the international market status around US$600 to $630.” ©2010 GlobalFastenerNews.com
