Report: MW Industries Top Execs Relocating
MW Industries headquarters in Logansport
MW Industries’ top executives are relocating to Chicago from Logansport, IN, the Pharos-Tribune reports.
When news broke that CEO Bill Marcum and COO Scott Keihle “soon will be stationed in Chicago,” speculation sprung up about a possible relocation of the entire company, according to the Pharos-Tribune.
MW Industries denied such a move, however. “The one thing I want to emphasize is (MW Industries) is good,” human resources VP Jim Stuckmeyer told the newspaper. “At this point in time, a couple people are moving to the Chicago area that will provide for us a better way to travel and for logistics purposes.” Logansport Mayor Ted Franklin said the loss of MW Industries — which employs 167 workers locally — would be “devastating.”
The executive relocation comes several months after MW Industries was acquired by private equity firm Genstar Capital of San Francisco for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 1976, MW Industries provides highly engineered springs, specialty fasteners and other precision components to more than 23,000 customers in 35 countries. The company operates 13 divisions throughout the U.S., serving the transportation, aviation/aerospace, electronic, medical, energy, agricultural and consumer market.
