Report: U.S. Fastener Imports Rise 15.3% in May
U.S. fastener import values rose 15.3% to $414.4 million in May — a 1% increase from April, ChinaFastener.Inforeports.
The export value of U.S. fasteners grew 15.5% to $291.9 million in May — representing an 8% change from the previous month, according to ChinaFastener.Info.
Taiwan ($125.03m) China ($95.28m), Japan ($64.74m), Canada ($27.31m) and Germany ($24.28m) were the top five exporters of fasteners to the U.S. in May.
The top five importers of U.S. fasteners in May were Canada ($98.28m), Mexico ($86.44m), the UK ($13.57m), China ($10.37m) and Germany ($6.86m). ©2012 GlobalFastenerNews.com
