Report: Vietnamese Fasteners Face AD Probe in U.S.

US Mid Continent Steel & Wire, Inc. filed an official complaint with the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) alleging Vietnam and six other countries illegally dumped industrial fasteners in the U.S., VOV reports.

US Mid Continent Steel & Wire asked the DOC to conduct an antidumping probe of industrial fasteners (screws, bolts and nuts) imported from a total of 7 countries.

The DOC is scheduled to issue its decision on June 18, 2014.

According to the US statistics, Vietnamese metal fastener exports to the US increased 42% to US$41 million in 2013.  In the first four months of 2014 those same exports reached US$9.3 million, according to VOV. ©2014 GlobalFastenerNews.com
