Rightway Fasteners received a 10-year, $287,771 tax abatement for plans to invest $9.85 million in new equipment at its plant in Columbus, IN, The Republic reports.

The Columbus City Council unanimously approved the abatement.

Rightway Fasteners plans to install 36 pieces of manufacturing equipment by March 2019, GM Ron Miller told The Republic. The company will add 17 positions ranging from $11 – $12 an hour.

Rightway Fasteners also received a tax abatement in November 2016 as part of a $3.9 million investment for a new production line.

Founded in 1991, Rightway Fasteners supplies fasteners to the automotive industry. RFI specializes in cold forming, thread rolling, heat treatment and surface treatment of high torque tension bolts, shafts and pins and supplies specialty screws and other cold formed parts.
