Doug Ruggles is the new president of the National Fastener Distributors Association for 2019-2020 and Adam Derry is vice president.

Ruggles, CEO / owner of Florence, AL-based Martin Fastening Solutions, succeeds Kelly Cole of Hayes Bolt & Supply.

Martin Fastening Solutions was founded in 1934 and distributes fasteners, adhesives, tools, safety equipment and adhesives.

Dan Zehnder of Trinity Supply had been vice president and thus slated to be president, but stepped down from the NFDA board because of new responsibilities with Trinity.

Derry is chief customer officer at Rockford, IL-based Field. Bill Derry and Jim Derry of Field have been NFDA presidents.

The new associate chair is Kelly Charles, sales manager for Sems and Specials.

New board members are: Don Haggerty, Stelfast; Craig Penland, Eurolink Fastener Supply Service; and Jodie Thinnes, Copper State Bolt & Nut.
