Russia Places Duties on Fastener Imports

Russia imposed duties on steel or iron fastener imports, China Fastener Info reports. The duties, which total US$282.84 per ton and will be in place for three years, become effecting on March 12, 2011.
 

The import tariff codes of the product concerned included: 7318158100, 7318158900, 7318159009, 7318169109, 7318169900, and 7318210009.

Excluded from the order are fasteners from Belorussia and other non-Asian developing countries.

Products concerned:
 

a. Steel or iron bolts with hexagon/round/square heads, with the nominal outer diameter of 6mm-30mm (excluding bolts with additional design elements, flange, collar, and (or) pointed end of the rod).
 

b. Hexagon steel or iron nuts with inner thread diameter of 5mm-30mm (excluding those having additional design elements, flange, and retaining).
 

c. Single-turn steel or iron spring washers with the inner diameter of 6mm-42mm. ©2011 GlobalFastenerNews.com
