Russian Association Opposes Fastener Protective Tariffs

The RosMetiz Association has organized a campaign collecting signatures to petition prime minister Vladimir Putin to “Fasteners, Adhesives, Tool and” magazine reported.
A business newspaper, Industrial News, is supporting the RosMetiz position.

“This campaign is a legal form of expression of public opinion,” RosMetiz coordinator Alexander Semanov told the magazine.

Semanov said a measure offered by the Russian Ministry of Industry & Trade would “provoke unfounded 36% to 40% price increases not only for imported fasteners, but also for fasteners produced in Russia.
