Schambach at EFDA: Whoever Controls the Standards Controls the Market
“Whoever sets the standards controls the market,” Dr. Bärbel Schambach of DIN told the European Fastener Distributors Association third triennial conference.
“The invisible hand of standardization” ensures quality, safety and success. Standards help disseminate innovative knowledge as well as opening doors by reducing trade barriers,” Schambach added.
“It is useful to use standards,” Schambach told delegates from Europe and guests gathered in Italy. “It is twice as useful to develop standards and use them.”
