“Boeing certified the RFKA9900-13 (SAE AS5550) flareless, plug-in union, ring locked fitting series by Alcoa Fastening Systems for its 787 Dreamliner. There will be more than 120 of new high-pressure titanium hydraulic adapters in each aircraft providing up to 49% weight savings over the previous application.
“This fitting is designed with a 20 degree metal-to-metal seal, which is the primary seal between the fitting and mating port and also incorporates an elastonmeric o-ring that acts as a back-up seal,” AFS North American product management manager Doug Pyle explained.

” The Milwaukee Business Journal presented J.W. Winco Inc. with the Mid-Market Growth Award for its 41% sales growth since 2003. Winco reported 2004 sales increased 26% for to $9.7 million. Sales in 2005 totaled $10.1 million and this year are running more than 12% higher.
CEO John Winkler Jr. attributed the sales growth to “expanded website offerings, including online catalog shopping, credit card ordering, and free, downloadable 3D-CAD, a tool for engineers.” Winco also utilizes Internet advertising, has a field sales force, and operates a high-tech automatic storage and retrieval system in its warehouse.
In April 2007, Winco is slated to open a 19,000 sq ft addition to its office / warehouse facility to accommodate growth.
The award honors public and private companies that have $5 million to $250 million in annual revenue that have experienced substantial revenue growth over the past three years.
