� Mary Chambers of Isodyne Sales and Doug Rolston of T.J. Teegarden/FLB Industries merged their rep agencies into a new partnership, Assembly Products & Sales.
Chambers has been in the fastener industry since 1972 and opened Isodyne in 1993. Rolston started in fasteners in 1977 and acquired Teegarden in 1995. Chambers has been president and Rolston was chair of the Southwestern Fastener Association. They were SFA board members at the same time.
�We have known each other for many years,� Rolston pointed out. �We know it is a god fit.�
�And our experience allows us to be up and running from the start of our new venture,� Chambers added.

� Distribution Dynamics Inc. appointed Dominic Polimeni president and CEO. Previously Polimeni was chairman and CEO of Questron Technology Inc.
Polimeni also was the CFO for Arrow Electronics and a partner in the New York office of Arthur Young & Co. (now Ernst & Young). He is a member of the Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. board of directors.
Both Questron and DDI acquired fastener distributorships in the late 1990s. Publicly held Questron went into bankruptcy and was acquired by the GE Supply division of General Electric in 2002.

� Greenslade & Company Inc. launched its new Windows-based inspection software called N-spekt to facilitate incoming and final inspection operations. The program reportedly makes inspections three times faster than recording data by hand. N-spekt feeds digital gage input into an inspection report, and allows attribute data to be entered through a keyboard. The software calculates highest and lowest values, mean and standard deviation for each characteristic, and indicates nonconforming measurements.

� Specialty Screw Corp. is celebrating its 50th anniversary with events planned for Nov. 10-15, 2003, announced president Russell Johansson. Johansson and his father, Arvid Johnson, bought the Rockford, IL-based fastener manufacturer in 1973.
Specialty Screw was founded by Harold Dahlberg, Willard Wise, Arthur Novak and Wallace Carpenter on November 13, 1953. Originally located on 19th Street, the company moved to the current 80,000 sq ft manufacturing facility at 2801 Huffman Blvd. in 1979.
Adopting the slogan, �Manufacturing Can Make It In Rockford,� Johansson said he is proud of Specialty Screw�s long tradition in Rockford.
