� Beneke Wire Company chairman David Beneke announced management team promotions: Vice president of manufacturing Kenneth Downs Jr., who joined Beneke Wire in 1984 as a metallurgist, added general manager to his title. David Sledge, who started with Beneke in 1974, added marketing to his vice president of sales role. � ND Industries Inc. opened a processing center at the South Holland Metal Finishing Co. plant in Monee, IL. ND Monee works independently, but in close cooperation with South Holland, providing heat treating, plating and threadlocking all in one building.

� The official name is now Nylok Corporation instead of Nylok Fastener Corporation, president Max Dorflinger announced. �The word �Fastener� in our corporate name sometimes misled people into thinking we were a manufacturer or distributor of fasteners,� he explained. Nylok supplies nylon patch locking elements for internally and externally threaded self-locking fasteners and value-added fastener products.
