” PPG Industries acquired the performance coatings & finishes business of Ameron International Corp. and named Tom Mauck general manager of protective and marine coatings.

” Jaime Vigil is the new president and CEO of Republic Engineered Products Inc. Vigil succeeds Joseph Lapinsky.

” Rockford Microdie Inc. received Textron Fastening Systems licenses to manufacture the full range of sizes of Mag-Form header die inserts and the header die tooling license for Strux clinch studs and nuts, president Richard Dean announced. Rockford Microdie already had a license for smaller sizes. The “expanded license evolved out of the company”s ability to turn fast orders on precision extrusion tooling, to print, with good tool life at a fair price,” Dean explained. “This really speaks highly of our die-makers and the supporting EDM capabilities necessary to make this type of extrusion tooling.”
