EFC International announced a 25% “expansion” of its warehouse through improved space utilization. Chicago branch general manager Reno Fricano explained that “as a growing company, we are constantly looking for cost effective solutions to our business challenges. Space is always a premium. EWMenn delivered its 5,000th machine. The model AF-101 will be used for production of special parts, primarily for aerospace parts, director Ernst W. Menn announced. High tech materials such as titanium will be rolled using a high frequency induction-heating unit to heat blanks just prior to rolling. The machine was customized for customer specific requirements including an automatic conveyor and process control system for monitoring quality of every part produced.
