Acme Industrial Co. received AS9100C certification, which is the 2009 revision of the quality management system for the aviation, space and defense industries.

A.Raymond Tinnerman is marking its 150th anniversary. Today a supplier to automotive manufacturers, the ARaymond Network started by Albert-Pierre Raymond in France with the invention of a press-stud that fastened buttons onto gloves in 1865.

In North America, A.Raymond Tinnerman Automotive manufactures clips, fasteners and fixations and Rayconnect manufactures fluid connectors. The two companies have sales, engineering and manufacturing facilities in the Detroit suburbs of Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills. Other North American facilities are located in Brunswick, OH; Logansport, IN.; Flemingsburg, KY; and Hamilton, Ontario.

The clips, fasteners and fixations offered by A.Raymond Tinnerman Automotive are used for various vehicle components including airbags and door systems.

Lindstrom named Rob Lucas vice president of business development.

Lucas has 26 years experience in fastener manufacturing and importing. Most recently he was president of Hong Kong-based Fidelis Fasteners, a global sourcing firm for fastener distributors, which Lucas bought out from investors including co-founder Larry Thomas in 2010. Lucas had joined Fidelis in 2008 after being vice president of mill, engineering and technical services at Heads & Threads Int’l.

In 2010 Lucas founded Global Fastener Network LLC with Mike McGuire as an importing and buying service. 

Lucas conducted conference programs on importing issues at 2009 and 2010 National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expos in Columbus and Las Vegas.
