Cardinal Fastener was named “Supplier of the Year” by the American Wind Energy Association. Cardinal president John Grabner received the award November 18 at AWEA’s fall symposium in Arizona.

Interfast Inc. promoted Peter Oleck to president.
CEO Douglas Woollings noted Oleck, who joined Interfast in 2005 and has 25 years of aerospace fastener experience, “has played an instrumental role in the growth of Interfast. He has actively supported our team in building Interfast’s presence in Asia, while managing Interfast’s U.S. operations. He also has spearheaded our focus to bring new levels of support to maintenance, repair and overhaul operations in the aerospace industry.  His operational knowledge and strategic thinking is a tremendous asset.”
Oleck will be responsible for directing the strategic growth and overseeing operational aspects.

Ken Forging is marking its 40th anniversary.
Founded in 1970 as Ken Tool & Die by Richard Kovach in his Cleveland garage, he moved into a 2000 sq ft facility within nine months and added two part-time people. For the next five years Kovach was sinking dies for other Cleveland forging companies.
In 1972 the company constructed a building 60 miles east of Cleveland in Jefferson, OH, and converted its emphasis from die sinking to forging of fasteners. The company expanded to 11 full-time employees with Kovach as CEO, engineer, draftsman and die sinker.
Ken Forging’s products of carbon, alloy and stainless steels include eyebolts, nut eyebolts, rod ends, turnbuckles & fittings, eye nuts, C- clamps, machine strap clamps, wedges, D-rings, pad eyes, T-slot nuts, Safety hoist rings, and custom forgings up to 200 lbs.

Mudge Fasteners Inc. is marking its 35th anniversary by launching an updated website at MudgeFasteners.com
Paul Mudge started the distributorship in 1975 in Carson, CA,  As the owner and sole employee Mudge knocked on doors in the industrial areas of south Los Angeles County.
Mudge Fasteners moved to Orange County in 1979 and the company grew to five employees over the next decade. The business was incorporated in 1987 and moved to a larger warehouse in Yorba Linda in 1989. In 2001 Mudge Fasteners moved to the current 12,769 sq ft facility in Corona.
“Today my wife Irma Mudge is active in the business, having come to work here after 24 years in the teaching profession,” Mudge noted. “Our daughter Marisa Mudge has been involved in the business full time since 1996 and acts as director of business development.”
Mudge Fasteners received the Award of Excellence for manufacturing/distribution by the Corona Chamber of Commerce in 2005.
The new website allows visitors to see the line card, industries Mudge specializes in and link to preferred vendors. Additional catalogs and product/service information will be added in coming weeks.
