Distributor’s Link magazine is marking its 40th anniversary.

Leo Coar was a manufacturers rep in 1977 when he saw a need for a magazine serving the fastener distributors. He recruited his sister-in-law MaryAnn Marzocchi of Southern Screw and together they published Distributor’s Link.

Editor/publisher Coar acknowledged publishing has changed over the decades with Link now using App, Twitter, Facebook Instagram and LinkedIn social media.

“Face to face with our readers is still the most important part of our job,” Coar said.  Tracey Lumia, sales & marketing director, represents Link at industry meetings and shows.

Coar emphasized that beyond current news, the magazine is a technical reference and resource guide “that has a infinite shelf life” as readers “keep the magazine on hand for years.” That is “why we put quality paper into our magazine so that it can be saved without tearing apart.”

Coar said the magazine “is set up to last for many more years with or without me.”

Link is based at 4297 Corporate Square, Naples, FL 34104. Tel: 239 643-2713 Email: leojcoar@linkmagazine.com or tracey@linkmagazine.com Web: linkmagazine.com
