The name of Bay State Cable Ties has been changed to American Elite Molding LLC.

“We have had twelve straight years of double digit growth since we decided to become an American manufacturer,” said CEO Robert Sires explained. “As we look to the future, we wanted a name that accurately portrayed our current status and our goals going forward.”

The company has grown from a small reseller to $25 million in sales as a manufacturer of 1.5 billion cable ties annually.

Last year the company added 20,000 sq ft to its plant in Florida and added 40 employees. AEM operates 24/7/365.

Sires projects AEM doubling in size in the next five years.

Sires also announced increased pay for new and existing employees. Entry level machine operators will receive $10/hour to start. The benefits package includes 100% health insurance coverage and a 401k plan. 

“We implemented this wage hike to continue to attract the best team members and keep them happy. We believe strongly in rewarding loyalty and performance, so new operators are also eligible for an additional 50 cents/hour after 90 days, and again after one year. ”

EFC International added Teresa Amman as supply chain director, COO Ted Loucks announced. Amman will be responsible for developing procurement and logistic strategies collaborating with suppliers and EFC’s purchasing, sourcing, logistics, warehouse and quality departments.  

She has 30 years experience in the automotive industry supply chain.  Her experience and leadership are part of EFC’s global expansion.

Groov-Pin Corp. is marking its 90th anniversary during 2016.
