Alcoa and China truck manufacturer CIMC Vehicles (Shandong) Co. Ltd., formed a partnership to design and develop energy-efficient aluminum fuel tanker trailer for the Asian market.

Alcoa Fastening Systems (Suzhou) Co. Ltd., in Jiangsu will provide Huck fasteners for the project.

The aluminum fuel tanker trailer will be 30% lighter than conventional stainless steel trailers, resulting in a significant increase in payload, greater fuel savings and lower emissions.

Valley Nut & Bolt is marking its 40th anniversary. Valley was founded in 1969 as a one-man distributorship in Washington state by Dallas Puckett Sr.
