SHORTTAKES: Alloy Fasteners, Heads & All Threads, Interstate Threaded Products, Lindstrom Metric and NORMA Group
Alloy Fasteners’ factory in Sanford, NC, was knocked offline July 9 by “strong, straight-line winds,” the Sanford Herald reports.
The “large” summer storm heavily damaged a number of homes and business and toppled trees across the city, though no injuries were reported. About one-third of Alloy Fasteners’ roof caved in, according to the Herald.
Alloy Fasteners employees told the Herald that the building would closed down for at least two weeks.
“All we know is that the wind bounced off the building and tore the roof off,” said Stevie Williams, who was in the building at the time.
