Atlantic Fasteners hired Dean Foley as sales manager for its Aerospace division. 
Foley has over 25 years of experience in aerospace metals distribution, most recently as a manufacturers’ rep for sheet metal fabrication, precision metal parts and high-performance metals to the aerospace, defense and medical industries. Prior to that, Foley spent 22 years working for raw material distributor Transtar Metals.

Bossard North America marked the opening of a $1.5-million expansion of its facility in Greeneville, TN, the Greeneville Sun reports.

The operation is now the company’s second-largest hub in the U.S. The company also operates facilities in Cedar Falls, IA (headquarters); Appleton and Madison and Mequon, WI; Dayton, OH; Santa Fe Springs, CA; Grovetown, GA; Fort Worth, TX; Elk Grove Village, IL; Elkhart, IN; and Mexico.

“We are here to stay and to grow,” Bossard North America CEO Steen Hansen stated at a public ceremony.

Brighton Best International formed a new domestic alliance with the fastener manufacturer Elgin Fastener Group.

EFC International added R&D engineer Greg Jones to its technical team. Jones will be responsible for application development and account management for Southwestern Ontario, Quebec and Eastern Canada.

Jones has 14 years of experience in program management, business development, quality control, manufacturing design and efficiencies. He holds an engineering degree and previously served as program manager with Magna International.

Wire finisher Tri Star Metals LLC is undergoing an expansion of its facility in Freeport, IL, that will add 20 jobs, WIFR.com reports. 

Tri Star reportedly has added $10 million of new machinery and is in the process of moving into a new facility that is 81,000 sq ft larger than its previous building.

Tri Star president Jay Madel told WIFR.com that the investments should increase the company’s aerospace and defense client list.
