The military/aerospace division of Atlantic Fasteners received AS9120-compliant supplier certification.

AS9210 certification reflects quality management standards and international requirements for chain of ownership, traceability, stock control and availability of records for all parts and components a company supplies.

Chandler Products acquired additional heading machinery to enter the 3/4″ diameter fastener market. The Cleveland-based company now offers headed and threaded 3/4″ product up to 6″ long in various head styles. Secondary operations such as pointing, shaving, trimming, grinding, drilling, and CNC work are also available.

Chandler is part of the Elgin Fastener Group and manufactures cold-headed fasteners, specializing in small to medium production orders and close tolerance cold headed parts for the diesel engine, transmission, locomotive and military markets.

Elgin Fastener Group named Tim Mahan as a technical sales rep.

Mahan brings 25 years of fastener experience to EFG, having previously worked with Acument Global Technologies/Textron Fastening Systems in sales management positions that covered multiple states in the West and Midwest, as well as portions of Mexico. He will be based in the greater St. Louis, MO, area.

Monogram Aerospace Fasteners manufacturing plant in Los Angeles marked its one millionth-hour without a lost workday injury. MAF, part of TriMas Corp., said the accomplishment validates its two-year-old program to improve safety awareness in the manufacturing operations.
