Nancy Rosado-Gonzales joined Aztech Locknut Company as quality assurance manager. 

Rosado-Gonzales has a 24-year history in quality management positions in the fastener industry, including automotive, commercial, and military/defense industries. She started in the industry in 1987 with Accurate Threaded Fasteners and for the past seven years was APQP quality manager for Semblex Corp. Her experience includes quality assurance, purchasing and PPAP/APQP.

Guy West, Aztech internal quality consultant worked with Rosado-Gonzales at Semblex. 

“I have trained and worked with many quality professionals over my 30-year career in quality and find Nancy to be one of the top two professionals I have worked with.”

Ken Sanker is returning to lead the company he founded in 1984.

Sanker sold Blue Chip Engineered Products in July 2005 to BCEP Holdings. Operations have continued at the same location for the past 6 years.

Two divisions of the Elgin Fastener Group have assigned individuals to new positions in their Quality Control departments. 

Cleveland, OH-based Chandler Products named Amy Hedges as quality supervisor effective November 21, 2011. Hedges will assume responsibility for all quality functions at Chandler. 

A ten-year veteran of EFG’s Ohio Rod Products division, she previously worked in shipping and logistics positions and spent the past four years there in quality technician and quality assistant posts. 

Chuck McRoberts has been named as quality technician at Ohio Rod Products, Versailles, IN, also effective November 21, 2011. He is a twelve-year veteran of the company, having previously filled positions in shipping and as senior stock coordinator.

EFG has four ISO certified domestic specialty fastener manufacturers – Ohio Rod Products, Leland Powell Fasteners, Chandler Products and Precision Screw & Bolt, plus Best Metal Finishing and the engineering and international procurement division Elgin Fasteners International.

Hudson Fasteners participated in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Emerging 200 Initiative (e200). 

The program provides more than 40 hours of advanced management training through a collaboration of the SBA Cleveland District Office, the City of Youngstown Department of Economic Development and the Ohio Small Business Development Center at YSU.

Hudson CEO Lisa J. Kleinhandler accepted the honor during the ceremony.

The e200 initiative focuses on small companies with potential for rapid expansion and job creation.

Mudge Fasteners Inc. supplied the fasteners for the largest rooftop photovoltaic installation in the Southern California city of Irvine of 680 kW goes online. 

The solar system was built on three separate roofs totaling over 100,000 sq ft. A total of 2,224 Sollega InstaRack with a 10-degree tilt angle were installed to mount 2,886 solar modules.

The system was installed using Dura-Con fasteners, a proprietary product by Mudge Fasteners.

OSG-Sterling manufactures thread rolling dies including flat, cylindrical and planetary dies and supplies trim dies, hex-in-round segmented carbide punch dies and rack dies. The design engineers provide technical assistance in both engineering and production areas.

The company is a merger of the OSG Tap & Die Inc. fastener division and Sterling Die Inc.

The OSG plant in Toyohashi, Japan, produces thread-rolling tools, screw gauges and special gauges.
