Fastener manufacturer Brico Industries Inc. expanded capabilities by adding multi-station headers for specialized threaded fasteners, director of sales & marketing Larry Mills announced.

Brico also added Todd Potenza, who has a background in specialized fasteners, to the staff to provide technical support.

Kipp Inc. named EFC International as an authorized distributor in North America.

Kipp’s catalog includes adjustable handles, knobs, spring and indexing plungers and cam levers.

Industrial Rivet & Fastener Co. opened a distribution and service center in Koriyama, Japan, to provide engineering and application support to Japanese manufacturers of electronics, solar panels, automobiles and pleasure crafts such as ATVs, boats and motorcycles.

Industrial Rivet, a global manufacturer, distributor and importer of rivets and fasteners, has now has facilities in nine U.S. states plus Canada, Mexico, Taiwan, China, Japan, Spain, Germany, UK and Australia.

President Bill Goodman said the Japanese branch “will further expand the RivetKing brand globally and will also strengthen our relationship with Japanese Companies operating in the USA.”

“The decision to promote the RivetKing brand in the Japanese marketplace made perfect sense,” said Takahiro Ouchi, sales manager of RivetKing Japan. He predicted “very positive market reaction.”

Ohio Rod Products hired Mark Limardo as product engineer.  He will focus on machine capability and the development of new product lines.

Limardo has engineering and management experience in the wood, automotive and medical industries and has been instrumental in the transition and start-up of machinery that EFG acquired with the purchase of Silo Fasteners earlier this year.
